WW6324 - Business Analyst / Safety & Quality Information Manager - (Part time / Contract ) - Mater - South Brisbane, QLD



About the role

Mater currently has a rewarding opportunity for a Business Analyst / Safety & Quality Information Manager to join the team in a part time capacity (20 hours per week) for a period of 12 months (potential for extension) based at our South Brisbane campus.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Governance you will utilise available sources of data to visualise patient care outcomes and clinical variation relating to safety, quality and patient experience. You will build capability within the Clinical Governance team to continually use, analyse and evaluate administrative data to assist in quality assurance and improvement. You will also contribute and respond to business imperatives where safety, quality and patient experience performance is considered, measured, monitored and evaluated.

What you’ll be doing
Key accountably will include:

  • Build analytic capability in business intelligence software programs to allow the interrogation of safety and quality i
  • Utilise advanced knowledge of administrative data and clinical coding to assist in establishing safety and quality indicator sets for visualisation
  • Design visualisation solutions to link various data elements from different sources to add dimension to information and intelligence
  • Support the program to effectively measure and visualise patient experience data
  • Analyse Health Quality contractual obligations, incentives and disincentives and assist to design solutions to maximise benefit and minimise cost and burden
  • Educate and develop members of the Clinical Governance team to build capability in effectively utilising administrative data
  • Respond to Mater Health business needs in the assessment, analysis and evaluation of clinical governance activity utilising administrative data
  • Assist to facilitate the understanding of pricing for quality models and its impacts on Mater Health
