Senior Health Information Manager (Release of Information) will provide high level operational management, advice and support to the following Clinical Information Service areas: release of information, including Right to Information, Information Privacy and Administrative Access to health records and support for the Rural Health Services!

About the role

As the Senior Health Information Manager (Release of Information) you will provide high level operational management, advice and support to the following Clinical Information Service areas: release of information, including Right to Information, Information Privacy and Administrative Access to health records and support for the Rural Health Services. This role will support the Manager, Clinical Information Services in meeting strategic goals and objectives in an operational setting on a local and district basis and provide periodic advice for all areas of health information, including clinical records management, clinical coding, information systems and data quality as required. services within Insert.

The incumbent will need:

  • Possession of a qualification in Health Information Management (Degree or Diploma) or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution, providing eligibility for membership to the Health Information Management Association of Australia.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.

  • Total remuneration package value up to $135,454 p.a.
  • Base salary range of $4240.10 - $4550.50 p.f. (PO5)
  • 4 weeks annual Recreational Leave with 17.5% loading
