ADVANCED CLINICAL CODER/MENTOR

Administrative Officer 5 Remuneration Package Range $90,576 - $95,292 (comprising salary $78,278 - $82,355, superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave) Potential total Remuneration Package in the vicinity of $109,400 which includes the above Package Range and in addition salary sacrifice provisions Health Information Services – Alice Springs Ongoing vacancy available.

The Central Australia Health Services (CAHS) has a permanent vacancy for a clinical coder, based at Alice Springs Hospital, our major referral centre.

The hospital Emergency Department is the major trauma response centre for the region and the hospital also provides medium level Intensive Care facilities.

Our case mix includes chronic disease, diabetes (complex), trauma, infectious disease, respiratory disease, obstetrics, mental health, and day procedures including chemotherapy. CAHS also provides mental health services, rehabilitation services and palliative care.

This position provides timely and accurate coding of morbidity data for internal and external reporting activities in accordance with the operational requirements of the Central Australia Health Service.
