Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital (WWRRH) is one of the busiest rural hospitals in NSW with 300 beds over 40,000 emergency presentations, 1,100 births and approximately 11,000 operations each year. With the new hospital being built in 2016. WWRRH provides medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric, rehabilitation, and mental health acute and sub-acute inpatient services.
Specialties include cardiovascular, gastroenterology, renal medicine, obstetrics, orthopaedics, psychiatry and paediatrics. There is also the provision of a full range of allied health and support services.

Responsibilities / Duties: 

What you'll be doing

In this key role you will drive the implementation of Activity Based Management (ABM) principles at the point of care within the designated facility. You will ensure that all aspects of recording and management of activity such as acute admitted, sub-acute, non-acute, emergency and mental health is optimised in order to ensure best practice, patient safety and appropriate funding.
Also critical to the role is facilitating the appropriate review of clinical documentation at the point of care which reflects both care delivery and resource utilisation to support the appropriate reimbursement of services.

Essential: 
  • Tertiary qualifications in a clinical field with extensive and relevant experience
  • Knowledge and experience in ABM and its application in a clinical environment
  • Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including a capacity to liaise and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated high level computer skills (MS Office) and ability to effectively utilise clinical applications such as eMR
