The Clinical Coder Trainee will learn how to code medical records from both a theoretical and practical perspective under the supervision. Applicants are required to have completed or working towards a Clinical Coding qualification.

Selection Criteria

  • Successful completion (or working towards completion) of a clinical coding qualification
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and working in a continuous quality environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in using a variety a computerised systems
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise own workload to ensure benchmarks are achieved
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • A current NSW drivers licence, and be available and committed to travel to facilities within NBMLHD
