    The role:

    Reporting to the Chief of Intelligence and Informatics, this role will provide clinical leadership on clinical information system (IS) innovation and initiatives. The primary focus will be to drive clinician engagement in clinical information system programme activities, to ensure that clinical information systems are aligned with ADHB's and the Northern Region's vision, goals and objectives and that they support the delivery of safe, effective and connected care to the Auckland population.

    You will build relationships at the highest levels inside and outside the organisation, requiring a special set of high level skills. You'll also be in the zone where colleagues are working on some of the most innovative and challenging opportunities facing the health sector in NZ - invigorating times at the cutting edge! These combined requirements and challenges make this position one of the foremost, and unique, "high impact" roles within the New Zealand health sector.


    About you:

    You will be a highly experienced top notch clinical professional with strong knowledge of health informatics in large health sector organisation. All the fundamentals apply around leadership, planning and strategy. You will be surefooted and need to be across the necessary detail to manage complex environment and agile enough to make the most of opportunities. You'll possess a well-developed ability to work professionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders, many at the most senior levels and work collaboratively with a team of fellow professionals.

    To be successful in this role, you will have considerable experience performing a similar role for some years. But for us, this is not about the quantity but the quality and calibre of that experience.
