In this permanent full time role, reporting directly to the Claims Audit Manager, you will assist TUH with the auditing of hospital and medical claims, and the implementation of audit processes in order to prevent claims leakage.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking day to day auditing of claims and recovery of benefit leakage, including analysing claims data to identify trends relating to leakage and fraud.<?li>
  • Effectively providing advice to the Audit and Claims teams regarding complex claims, including coding and contract matters.
  • Participating in coding audits, health fund reporting and associated error correction, i.e. Hospital Casemix Protocol.
  • Identifying and driving continuous improvement and process efficiencies.


Essential:

  • At least 3 years experience working as a Health Information Manager.
  • Bachelor of Health Information Management (or similar).
  • High computer proficiency skills in order to navigate the Microsoft Office Suite as well as our in-house systems.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to analyse and provide recommendations on data is key in this role.


Desirable:

  • Membership with the Health Information Management Association of Australia.
  • Understanding of the rules and regulations within the private health insurance industry.
