ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Permanent part time role; 30 hours per week
  • Mercy Mental Health program – various locations including Werribee, Footscray and Hoppers Crossing
  • Provide support to the Senior Health Information Manager to ensure the Mental Health program is well prepared for the implementation of the electronic medical record.
  • Timely and accurate coding of mental health admitted episodes.
  • Subject matter expert in both iPM (Mercy Health PAS) and CMI (statewide mental health system), as well as becoming a subject matter expert in MasterCare EMR

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelor of Health Information Management or its equivalent
  • Ability to analyse and understand basic business processes in the healthcare context.
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office software.
